Russell “Russ” Carter is a REALTOR® serving buyers, sellers, and homeowners throughout Washington, DC and Maryland, with a strong focus on Bowie, Prince George’s County, and surrounding DMV communities.

Since beginning his real estate career in 2016, Russ has been involved in hundreds of real estate transactions representing more than $100 million in sales volume. His business is grounded in strong relationships, integrity, service, and Christian values, with a genuine love for Jesus shaping how he treats clients, leads his team, and approaches his work. He specializes in helping homeowners prepare, price, market, and sell their properties, while also guiding buyers through competitive purchases, move-up opportunities, relocation, and long-term real estate decisions.

At the center of Russ’s business is a simple philosophy: Trust Russ. He believes great real estate representation starts with trust, clear communication, strong relationships, and advice that puts the client’s goals first. Many of his client relationships extend well beyond a single transaction, with repeat clients and referrals forming an important part of his business.

Russ has been recognized among the top 10% of real estate professionals nationwide by RealTrends Verified and has been named among Washingtonian’s Best Real Estate Agents for several years. He and The WAR Team have also ranked as a Top 10 team at Keller Williams Capital Properties from 2020 through the present, reflecting the team’s consistent production and commitment to client service.

In 2017, Russ partnered with veteran real estate professional Rob Morris to form The WAR Team at Keller Williams Capital Properties. Together, the team has helped hundreds of families buy and sell real estate throughout Washington, DC and Maryland, combining local market expertise, strategic marketing, strong negotiation, and hands-on client service.

A native Washingtonian, Russ graduated from Dunbar High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance from Morgan State University. Before entering real estate, he worked as an accountant with the United States Postal Service and later as a federal government consultant. His background in finance continues to influence the analytical and strategic approach he brings to pricing, negotiations, market trends, and real estate decision-making.

Russ is also committed to community involvement and service and has supported organizations including Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., SOME (So Others Might Eat), and First Baptist Church of Glenarden.

Russ lives in Bowie, Maryland with his family and brings both professional experience and firsthand local knowledge to the clients and communities he serves.
