Astrid has worked in the real estate industry since 2003. Starting her real estate career in Costa Rica, Astrid has negotiated high end to average priced homes. Most of her clients were high executives of international companies and U.S. expats. During her tenure in Mexico City, Astrid was the U.S. Embassy Housing Assignments Manager. She was responsible for a portfolio which oversaw the assignment and management of over 430 U.S. Embassy housing units. Astrid Motz-Hammond, a native of Tegucigalpa, Honduras, fluent speaker of English, Spanish, and German, is sensitive to cultural needs of families relocating to the D.C. area. Astrid has had the opportunity to live in various overseas locations, bringing a global worldview to her real estate career.
Moving back to Maryland she obtained her Maryland real estate license in 2013. Astrid goes above and beyond the call of duty to provide outstanding customer service and has received praise from her clients. Astrid meets one on one with each client so she can understand their needs in order to provide first-class service. Astrid, a mother of two, has been involved in community activities from soccer and swimming teams for her two sons as well as organizing community parties while at Woodland Hills and in Stonebridge. Astrid attended Texas A & M University where she received a degree in Agricultural Economics and a minor in food science and technology. In her free time, Astrid has fun going to her gym (yoga, spinning, weight training, bare fusion), hiking, book clubs, card groups and other social activities.
