In his 2018 Vision Speech, Gary Keller laid out how real estate wasn’t just heading into a market shift, but also an industry shift as it was being moved to the digital space and that A.I. fed by big data would change the game as we know it. In his speech he stated that in order to compete in tomorrow’s real estate landscape, real estate professionals will need to be able to:
- Control their data
- Move to digital platforms
- Disrupt through data share
Controlling the data is important because if you don’t own your data, you don’t control the insights, and soon whoever does will know more than you. Therefore, whoever owns insights wins.
Agents must also be physically based, but digitally enhanced. Hence the term, “Tech Enabled Agent.” Agents of the future must arm themselves with the insights from their data to best meet the demands of the consumer that wants a more curated experience. Similar to Amazon, Netflix, Facebook, etc.
By controlling our data, using the insights, and having the connected tools in Command to enhance the agent’s ability to connect like never before, it will give our agents the ability to connect like never before, it will give our agents the ability to disrupt through data share by delivering a personalized consumer experience that builds a moat around the agent’s businesses and leaves competitors on the outside.
