Today we’re excited to share the news of the installment of Marla Shea as the new Team Leader for the Keller Williams Capital Properties Rockville Market Center.

Marla has more than 25 years of sales expertise, entrepreneurial know-how, accomplishments, and business acumen that have positioned her to carry out the pivotal role of Team Leader. She is excited and eager to help other agents reach their highest levels of success, to contribute to the growth of the Rockville Market Center, to cultivate relationships and attract Rockville area Realtors®, and work together to grow the culture in the office to increase the charitable outreach in the community.

“I fell in love with KWCP the moment I walked into a Market Center. Becoming part of this award-winning leadership team is a dream come true. I am grateful to be engaged with an organization with such positive energy that is committed to community service and collaboration, and to one that grows associates both personally and professionally to their highest level of happiness and excellence.

The KW systems and models feel like home to me, and nothing makes me happier than sharing our wealth of expertise and wisdom….and then watching people FLY! I cannot wait to see where 2018 and beyond leads our KWCP family.”

New to KWCP, Marla joined the real estate community in 2016. Her early career was as a successful Television Broadcast sales Executive with ABC, NBC & FOX for 12 years. During that time she flipped 17 homes, then followed her passion and lifelong dream to do more of the same, so she co-founded T&M Design & Construction, Inc. in 2001, serving the greater Philadelphia area. In 2004, when her two children and their father were diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome and other pre-existing conditions, Marla sold her construction business and began her journey as a special needs/mental health advocate for Tourette families and families with special needs everywhere.

She Chaired the Greater Washington Tourette Society (now Mid Atlantic Tourette Society) for 6 years serving the Virginia, Maryland and DC constituent needs while continually growing the chapter base and fundraising efforts through existing members and with the development of strong community outreach programs. After ten (10) years Marla Co-Founded Tourette International Community of Support (TICS) to reach an even larger community of families needing advocacy and support. As Co-founder/Vice Chair, and Executive Director she worked to unify and inspire the Global Tourette community, to educate international lawmakers, to inform law enforcement and educators about the truths about Tourette’s, expanding to nine states in the U.S., and to over thirteen countries internationally.

In 2011 Marla was honored by being selected into the inaugural class of Williams & Mary’s Marshall-Wythe Law School for Special Needs Advocacy (ISEA) where she became a Certified Special Needs/Mental Health Advocate. She spends much of her free time advocating for families of special needs children in school systems across the U.S., ensuring they receive the best education and services possible.

In her day-to-day role with KWCP, Marla’s key objectives will be to grow the Rockville Market Center with great enthusiasm and a roster of top producing agents and to positively and significantly affect the real estate market in the greater Rockville area.

A busy mother of two beautiful daughters Devyn (23), Rheagan (18), and their Little Boy Chihuahua Man Mateo (12) Marla is a lifelong traveler, foodie, and lover of family, friends, music, and useless movie quotes. Clearly very passionate about real estate, and about life, Marla thrives when others succeed.

Caitlin Martinez Named Assistant Team Leader at Washington, DC Tenley Market Center

Today KWCP Leadership, the ALC, and core group members of the Washington, DC Tenley Market Center announced the arrival of Caitlin Martinez to her instrumental new role as Assistant Team Leader.

An experienced, award-winning real estate professional, Caitlin is excited to be with KWCP, with a keen eye on recruiting efforts and positioning of the Tenley Market Center as a force in the Upper NW area of the city, and as the brokerage where agents want to be.

A Keller Williams standout that gained her experience at the Austin, TX flagship market center, Caitlin has practical experience, perspective as a top-producing agent, and the drive and enthusiasm for learning and succeeding.

With an academic and international background that includes a B.A. in Communications from Temple University and an M.A. with Honors in International Relations from the University of Westminster in London, Caitlin learned early on about the impact of an ambassadorial approach to her work. Her roles included as a recruiter and admission specialist for the International Studies Abroad program in London as a liaison between students and Admissions Departments of eight UK universities. This led to a program manager role there, followed by a return to the U.S. to an ISA role with Keller Williams SWMC, where she made the most of her educational and training opportunities.

In Austin she quickly rose to become a successful agent, closing over 85 transactions with $25M+ in sales in just two years, earning her the KW Rising Star of Real Estate Award, one of 37 across the company for 2017. That experience inspired her to a new challenge as the Assistant Team Leader in the Washington, DC area.

In her new day-to-day role her key objectives will be to focus on helping agents to grow their businesses, to increase the agent count to 120+ in the coming year, and to have a larger presence in the Tenley area with a high profile market center that’s active in the community, and involved in events on a regular basis.

“I’m really looking to help educate, motivate, coach, and hold everyone accountable for their 2018 goals,” describes Caitlin. “I also want to be seen as the cultural ambassador and connector of the Market Center. I have great energy, enthusiasm, and passion for this work because of what I have gained from Keller Williams.”

Judging by the great momentum that’s come with the grand opening and the recent ribbon-cutting and Tenley Main Street events led by the ALC, the results should continue to be noteworthy!

In her free time, Caitlin loves international travel, in addition to getting to know the greater DC metropolitan area, and attending theatre and performing arts events on the weekends, hinting to her background and love of the arts in high school at while at Temple. Caitlin resides in Cleveland Park, so with Rock Creek Park just steps away from her door, regular nature breaks and other explorations of the city’s museums, and sights, with her husband and her Pomeranian Leon balance everything out.

Please add Caitlin to your address books and reach out to say Hello: cmartinez@kwcapitalproperties.com, 202.847.4176.
